3 Steps To Becoming an Active Member

1. SHPE Membership

One of the requirements to be an active LI member is to be registered as a SHPE member. It is only $5, which is covered in your LI dues. Becoming a SHPE member will broaden your network. Don't forget, we are Region 2.

2. Complete MESA Application

Besides providing you with many resources, the MESA application will allow you to apply to many scholarships excluded only for MESA members.

3. Pay Your Dues

The membership fee is only $10. Half of that amount goes to pay your SHPE membership, so if you are a register SHPE member, you only pay $5. 

You can pay at the meetings or contact your favorite officer. 

Membership Benefits

Active 

  1. You will receive the official LI T-Shirt every year that you are a paid member. 
  2. You are eligible to apply to specific scholarships. (MESA & LI Scholarships).
  3. You will be able to attend the LI Banquet.
  4. You can run for officer for Los Ingenieros.
  5. You can be part of Los Ingenieros mentorship programs. (E-Buddies, LI mentorship program).
  6. Attend SHPE, MESA, and Los Ingenieros related conferences. (RLDC, NILA, MESA Conference)
  7. All benefits from a Non-Active member. 

Non-Active

  1. Attend the meetings.
  2. Eligible to attend the Study and Tutoring Groups. (Restrictions Apply)
  3. Welcome to attend some LI Events. (Game-night, etc..)
